Western Association for Educational Opportunity Professionals Conference (WESTOP)

Garden Grove, CA

First-Gen Scholars to First-Gen "Ballers" aims to address how we can provide first generation graduates with the tangible skills needed to be successful in the post-graduate world of professional work. TRIO programs are exceptional in supporting students in attending and graduating from post-secondary education, however, preparing these students to navigate their careers as first-generation professionals can be overlooked. This workshop redefines how we approach equity as we prepare our first-generation students to enter their professional careers.
